More information

Essential Clean is built around balance. The exterior is washed properly, the wheels and arches are cleaned, the glass is finished inside and out, the cabin is vacuumed and dusted, and the tyres are dressed so the car has a more complete, cared-for finish. A wax or paint sealant is also applied to give the paint a cleaner gloss and short-term protection, helping the vehicle feel easier to maintain between visits.

This service works best as a regular maintenance valet. It gives more care than a quick wash, but it is not designed to chase deep stains, remove mould, extract heavy pet hair, polish paint defects or decontaminate rough paintwork. If a vehicle has been left for too long, has marked carpets or seats, or needs a more serious interior and exterior reset, Deep Clean or Interior Deep Clean will usually be the better choice.

FAQs

What is the difference between Essential Clean and booking Exterior Clean plus Interior Clean separately?

Essential Clean is the better whole-car reset when both the outside and inside need attention on the same visit. Exterior Clean focuses on paint, wheels, arches and glass. Interior Clean focuses on the cabin. Essential Clean brings the two together with a balanced package and adds a wax or sealant finish for a more complete result.

How often should I book an Essential Clean?

For most privately used cars, this package works well every three to six weeks. Cars parked outside, used for commuting, school runs or motorway driving usually benefit from staying on a regular cycle. If the car is left for several months and the carpets, seats or paintwork deteriorate, a Deep Clean may be more suitable.

Does the Essential Clean include paint protection?

It includes a wax or paint sealant, which gives short-term gloss and a layer of protection. It is useful for regular maintenance, but it is not the same as Paint Protection or ceramic coating. Drivers wanting longer-lasting protection should look at the Paint Protection service.

Will Essential Clean remove tar spots, iron fallout or rough paint contamination?

It improves normal dirt, traffic film and everyday grime, but it is not a full decontamination service. If the paint feels rough after washing or has visible tar and fallout, Deep Clean or a detailing service is the better option.

Is this suitable before selling a car?

Yes, when the car is generally in good condition and mainly needs a presentation lift. It improves the appearance of the paint, wheels, glass and cabin. If the car has obvious interior staining, strong smells or dull paint, Deep Clean, Interior Deep Clean or Machine Polish will usually create a stronger impression.

What should I do before the appointment?

Remove valuables, paperwork, personal items and anything from the boot or footwells that you do not want handled. If there is a specific area you care about, such as the boot, rear seats or wheels, mention it when booking.
